There are grants and offers available to help you pay for home insulation and if you receive benefit it could even be free.

Loft and cavity wall insulation grants 50% - 100%

Cavity wall insulation

Cavity wall insulation will reduce your annual fuel bill by £65-£100 and is often grant assisted. Contact us for advice on cavity wall insulation. By insulating your cavity walls you can reduce heat loss by 35% making your home feel much warmer. Cavity wall insulation works by filling the air gap or "cavity" in between the inner and outer wall of your house. Most homes built since the 1930s are constructed in this way.

Loft insulation

250mm of loft insulation can save £100 compared to no insulation. Contact us for loft insulation advice. By insulating your loft to a depth of 250mm (10") you can save 25% of your heating costs. Loft insulation works because heat rises. It is like wearing a hat on a winters day - it makes a all the difference.

Hot Water Tank

A thick jacket (75mm or 3") will save between £10 and £15 per year. Contact us for hot water tank advice. Insulating your hot water tank with a thick insulating jacket can cut its heat loss by up to 75%. Adding to, or replacing a worn jacket will also save you money. Hot water tanks can be insulated using a cheap, easy to install British Standard 'jacket'.

Hot Water Pipes

Insulating your hot water pipes can save £5 per year. Contact us for pipe insulation advice. Pipe insulation keeps the water in the pipes hot so the heat goes to where you want it - to the hot water tank and radiators.
